Refund policy
I want you to love wearing your DOTŁ'IZHI piece. If a ready-to-ship piece isn't right, you have 14 days from delivery to exchange it or receive store credit. Made-to-order and bespoke pieces are created specifically for you and are final sale.
Most one-of-a-kind rings, necklaces, and earrings in the shop are ready to ship. If yours isn't what you hoped, you may return it within 14 days of the delivery date for:
- an exchange toward any other piece, or
- store credit for the full purchase price, good for 12 months and valid on anything including bespoke.
To qualify, the piece must be:
- unworn and in its original condition,
- returned in its original DOTŁ'IZHI packaging,
- postmarked within 14 days of delivery.
Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the piece arrived damaged or I sent the wrong item, in which case return shipping is on me. Please use a tracked service and insure the package for its value; I can't process an exchange or credit for a return that doesn't arrive.
Made-to-order and bespoke pieces: final sale
The DOTŁ'IZHI Stiletto, anything marked "made to order," and all bespoke commissions are created for you, in your colors, to your story. Because of that, they cannot be returned or exchanged.
To make sure you're thrilled with the result:
- Made-to-order: I'll confirm your color story by email before I begin beading.
- Bespoke: you'll approve the design before I start, and receive progress photos throughout.
- If a made-to-order or bespoke piece arrives with a defect in craftsmanship, I will repair or remake it at no cost.
Because earrings are worn in the body, they are exchangeable or eligible for store credit only if unworn.
Sale items, stickers, and gift cards
Discounted items, stickers, and gift cards are final sale.
Ring sizing
One-of-a-kind rings are made in a single size, listed on each product page. If your ring doesn't fit, most sterling silver bands can be resized up or down one full size for $35 plus return shipping. Email me before sending it back and I'll confirm whether your ring can be safely resized (stone-set and heavily textured bands sometimes can't). Resizing is also available on pieces you bought from me in Iowa City.
Repairs
Handmade jewelry lives a real life. If a piece breaks within 12 months of purchase due to a flaw in craftsmanship, I'll repair it free. After that, or for wear-and-tear (a lost stone, a stretched ear wire, a snapped fringe), I offer repairs for a fair fee. Email photos and I'll give you a quote. I'll take care of pieces from the Iowa City shop the same way.
How to start an exchange, credit, or repair
1. Email Alicia@dotlizhi.com with your order number, the piece, and what you'd like to do.
2. I'll reply within one business day with return instructions.
3. Once your return arrives and is checked, your exchange ships or your store credit is issued within 5 business days. I'll email you either way.
Damaged or incorrect orders
If a piece arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, email me within 3 days of delivery with photos. I'll make it right at no cost to you, including return shipping.
