The deerskins used in this coat were sustainably hunted by the men of the community, while the intricate tanning, cutting, and sewing were carried out by the women, ensuring each piece carries the spirit of their heritage.  

Purchased in 1998 at the Lake Superior Trading Post near Sault Ste. Marie, a hub of authentic First Nations artistry, this coat embodies the rich cultural traditions of Indigenous craftsmanship.
